Directorial role in Operations Management within the Construction Industry

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Operations will have strong leadership skills for the Operations Management while managing the union employees. This role will require the supervisor to collaborate with the union workforce as well as having an understanding of work rules, policies and union contracts,

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handling all branch activities that pertains in the railroad and utilities division
  • Working with the accounting department handling revenue recognition, forecasting, and reporting
  • Ensuing DOT rules and regulations are being adhere to
  • Managing forecasting, budgeting, allocation
  • Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine need for increase in fares, expansion of existing schedules, or expansion of routes
  • Will make customer calls with Branch Managers with new and existing customers

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ degree in Construction, Engineering or any related field
  • 7 years’ of operations management experience managing multiple facilities within the construction/traffic control sectors
  • Has hands-on experience in coalitions and trade associations 
  • Highly skilled in construction lines, safety management and labor relations
  • Proficient in financial reporting which would include profit/loss and balance sheets
  • Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
